Atlanta Gas Light Company and News/Talk 750 WSB Name Andrew Young 35th Shining Light Award Recipient

ATLANTA, GEORGIA - Atlanta Gas Light Company and WSB Radio today announced that the 2002 Shining Light Award will be presented to former Ambassador and Atlanta Mayor Andrew Young.

Andrew Young is the 35th Georgian to be honored as a recipient of the Shining Light Award. Established in 1963 by Atlanta Gas Light Company and WSB Radio, this prestigious award recognizes a Georgian who has been an inspiration to the lives of others through service to humanity.

On March 12, Andrew Young's 70th birthday, an ever-glowing gas light and bronze plaque will be unveiled on the campus of Morehouse College in Atlanta's historic West End community.
