AGL Resources' New Leadership Team Brings Strength In Experience And Diversity

ATLANTA, GEORGIA - AGL Resources (AGLR) unveiled a newly-reorganized leadership team today that has the collective strength to position the company as a prominent player in today's demanding energy market. Atlanta Gas Light Company (AGLC) veteran Isaac Blythers becomes president of AGLC and Chattanooga Gas Company. Ralph Cleveland moves from AGLR subsidiary Virginia Natural Gas to become vice president - engineering and construction for AGL Resources.

Beth White, vice president and controller of AGL Resources, becomes vice president - financial, business innovation and systems applications. Other moves include the appointments of Bryan Batson as vice president - regulatory compliance and affairs; Suzanne Sitherwood as vice president - gas operations; and Rob Foss as vice president - pipeline operations. These individuals will report to Kevin P. Madden, who was recently appointed executive vice president - distribution and pipeline operations. Additionally, Catherine Land-Waters becomes senior vice president - business technology for AGLR. Wade Doshier will be president and chief operating officer of AGL Networks, an AGL Resources subsidiary that provides last-mile fiber optic solutions to telecommunications companies in metro Atlanta.

These appointments, along with the recent appointment of former Georgia Chamber president Lindsay Thomas as senior vice president - governmental relations, complete the company's restructuring.

The AGL Resources Foundation Board also has been revamped. Melanie Platt, who has served on the board since 1998, assumes the role of chairperson, and other AGL officers elected as board members include: Isaac Blythers; Drew Evans; Dana Grams; Hank Linginfelter; Lindsay Thomas; and Harriette Watkins. Among the Foundation's targeted areas of philanthropy: education, community outreach and the environment.
