ATLANTA, Ga. (Sept. 24, 2003) -- Atlanta Gas Light Company (AGLC), a subsidiary of AGL Resources (NYSE: ATG), has named Eric K. Greenwood as region manager overseeing service in the Atlanta area. AGLC delivers natural gas to approximately 258,000 customers in Fulton and DeKalb counties.

Greenwood is responsible for the center's 126 employees and their daily operations, which include pipeline maintenance, meter reading, customer service and emergency repairs.

"With the population of metro Atlanta increasing by 500 residents a day, there is a tremendous growth potential for AGLC," said Greenwood. "It's a challenge. Many of these newcomers will want natural gas services."

Greenwood, a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity and a former member of the Stamford 100 Black Men, belongs to the DeKalb Chamber of Commerce. He also served as president, vice president and secretary of the Black Employees Association. AGLC employees based at the Atlanta service center participate in volunteer activities at Hughes Spalding Children's Hospital, Atlanta Union Mission, March of Dimes, Junior Achievement, Habitat for Humanity; CHRIS Homes and Atlanta Day Shelter.

Greenwood, who holds a degree in mechanical engineering from Tuskegee University, comes to AGLC with 13 years of experience in sales operations with the Pepsi Bottling Group. His last position with Pepsi was as sales operations manager from 1998 until 2002 for the Atlanta region, where he grew his market share by 1 to 1.5 points annually. Greenwood also led Pepsi's urban marketing initiative in Atlanta.

Greenwood and his wife, Veronica, have two children and live in Jonesboro.

The Atlanta Service Center office is located at 660 Ralph McGill Blvd., Atlanta 30312. The AGLC non-emergency phone number is 770-994-1946 (1-800-427-5463 from outside metro Atlanta). The emergency number is 770-907-4231 (1-877-427-4321 from outside metro Atlanta).
